Description
Palouse Falls is somewhat of a surprise given its location. The entire area in eastern Washington is rolling farmland. It’s pretty famous among photographers for the rich green fields of wheat in the spring. They make for some compelling photographs. I happen to have one in our Fine Art Collection. So to find a waterfall like this in the middle of wheat country is an unexpected find. It’s in a State Park so its easily accessible. Just have to find the right place to stand.
On our first visit we went to all the obvious locations to try to get an appropriate angle on the falls. None were compelling. We noticed a ridgeline on the other side of the gorge and decided to try for that the next evening. This turned out to be a good move and resulted in the shot you see here. A little nerve wracking if you’re afraid of heights as there was no railing and just a vertical drop down to the water. This was the composition though that showed the falls in the best way.
This Roadtrip Collection print is created on a high quality semi-gloss photo paper utilizing Canon ChromaLife dye inks. It is personally printed by me and is currently available in two paper sizes. Actual image size is slightly less due to the white print borders.
The print is shipped flat and carefully packaged to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Ready for framing or mounting by your local frame shop.
