Description
Council Lake in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is a favorite of ours for Fall color. Since we’re both Michigan natives we would make an annual trip the the U.P. every Fall October when we lived there. Even now, as we travel around the Country full time, we still make it back occasionally. The Hiawatha National Forest has some spectacular Fall color and joins up with the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore along Lake Superior. It’s a photographers playground.
Karen and I scouted the Council Lake area the prior day to check on the degree of color change there. It was pretty near peak so we planned to come back for a sunrise shot the next morning. This particular section of the lake required me to wade into the water a bit so I made sure to bring my rubber boots along. We arrived in the dark the next morning to ensure our spot as this is a popular lake for Fall color photography. It was a beautiful morning and as the sun rose in the eastern sky this group of clouds got a blast of color. A perfect compliment to the colorful reflections in the very still lake.
This Roadtrip Collection print is created on a high quality semi-gloss photo paper utilizing Canon ChromaLife dye inks. It is personally printed by me and is currently available in two paper sizes. Actual image size is slightly less due to the white print borders.
The print is shipped flat and carefully packaged to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Ready for framing or mounting by your local frame shop.
