Bryce Canyon is one of Utah’s National Park gems. The hoodoo’s in the amphitheater have such interesting shapes and texture. But the real magic happens when they’re backlit by the morning sun. They glow so vividly some of them almost look translucent. There are some great hikes down into the amphitheater to get up close and personal with the hoodoo’s. Just remember, you have to hike back out and it’s mostly uphill!

We visited this vantage point a number of times to scout things out so we knew it was a morning shot. We were fortunate that the morning we chose there were some clouds in the early morning sky. But almost too many clouds. We set up anyway ’cause you never know. Then, as if on cue. the sun broke through the clouds right at the horizon and cast this beautiful light across the amphitheater causing the hoodoo’s to just radiate a wonderful glow. The clouds added a perfect touch of drama to the sky. You couldn’t have ordered up a better morning.

This fine art print is created on 100% cotton rag, acid and lignin-free, archival paper along with top quality Lucia Pro pigment inks. This heavy stock paper is a joy to print on and hold in your hands. It is personally printed by me and hand signed and dated. Currently available in three paper sizes. Actual image size is slightly less due to the white print borders.

The print is packaged in a beautiful presentation box which is then enclosed in a sturdy shipping box for protection.
